The Brattleboro Museum & Art Center (BMAC) is a private nonprofit organization founded in 1972, with a mission to present the art of our time in a way that entertains, educates, and enlightens audiences of all ages. BMAC is a non-collecting museum, which produces frequently changing exhibitions by regional and internationally acclaimed artists. Educational programs are available for children, teachers and adult learners. Special events pepper the calendar. The Museum Shop carries wonderful items to complete a visit. Museum galleries are open daily except Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Brattleboro Museum & Art Center is located in Union Station at the intersection of Main Street (Rt. 5) and Routes 119 and 142 in downtown Brattleboro, VT. The Museum is wheelchair accessible. Parking is available in front of the Museum. Grants, donations, sponsorships, as well as membership and program fees financially support BMAC.
